The Water Resources Department (WRD) is responsible for spill recovery, surface water management conveyance into the regional water management system, irrigation delivery, and maintenance of the internal primary conveyance systems. WRD accomplishes these tasks through a combination of field services (i.e., operations of pumps and use of light and heavy equipment) as well as through technical services involving planning, engineering analysis, observation, and reporting. The Water Resources Department operates with 4 primary programs: Tribal-Wide Operation and Maintenance (O&M), Watershed Operations & Conservation, Technical Services, and Hazardous Remediation. WRD staff work with a mission to provide operational and technical capabilities to manage water involving watersheds on a Tribal wide basis.
