HAZARDOUS REMEDIATION PROGRAM
The Hazardous Remediation Program encompasses a wide range of activities to protect the tribal community and the environment by conducting hazard identifications and removing them. This includes conducting site investigations, carrying out remedial action plans, establishing procedures to mitigate risk of hazardous releases, and immediate spill response during emergencies. The program aims to clean up historic sources of contamination and prevent new sources from entering the environment. Key aspects involve conducting environmental site assessments & cleanup, hazardous waste & petroleum storage tank compliance inspections, and implementing environmental health & safety protocols by coordinating with departments, agencies & stakeholders.
