FLEET MANAGEMENT
The Fleet Section keeps the Tribe moving. Fleet assist all departments in EPO to ensure vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, off road vehicles, etc. run smoothly by maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient vehicles and equipment. We support every department’s mission by keeping our fleet ready to serve the community at all times.
Mission
This program provides support for the acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of the Water Resources vehicle and equipment fleet. Responsibilities include managing fuel resources, overseeing fleet lifecycle planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and support departments with vehicle needs assessments and coordination.
Program Tasks
- Working with the Fleet Department to enhance the management systems to enhance tracking and inventory of EPO Vehicles.
- Assisting Department of Conversation, Environmental Protection Office, Environmental Resources, and Water Resources with scheduling maintenance and repairs for vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, off road vehicles, etc.
- Learning more about the growing climate of vehicles and new technologies to enhance our Fleet to be more climate friendly.
- Assisting in the replacement of aging vehicles, improving fuel efficiency and reducing long-term maintenance costs.
- Implemented standardized safety procedures for drivers and equipment operators, promoting a culture of accountability.
